Ok, so in part 1, you learned about the two problems you may be having if you haven’t recruited anyone yet into your Network Marketing business. Problem #1 is that you aren’t doing something right, and problem #2 is that you aren’t doing something enough.

In part 1, we discussed what to do if you aren’t doing something right. Now we’re going to address problem #2…

Problem # 2 – Not Doing Something Enough

Sometimes, this is the more difficult problem to solve. If you’ve got a bunch of free time and just aren’t spending enough time with your business, then the solution is easy. Get off your butt and get busy with your prospecting, inviting, presenting, and recruiting!

But if you’re like most people, there are only so many hours in a day and squeezing more time out of your schedule isn’t going to be easy. But here are a few things you can do to find more time for your business.

MLM Recruiting Tips #4 – Rocks In A Bucket

This is probably one of the most important MLM Recruiting Tips. It’s going to require a change in mindset for many people…

I forget where I heard this analogy, but you need to think of the time you have as a bucket. Everything you need to do in a day is a rock. The more time an activity takes, the bigger the rock is.

When people aren’t spending enough time with their business to make it successful, it’s typically because they fill that bucket with all of the other rocks and then try to squeeze in their “business” rock last. If it doesn’t fit, that rock gets left out for the day.

What every entrepreneur needs to do is make sure that “business” rock gets put into the bucket first, along with the other necessities. If you’re serious about your business, then that “business” rock should be taking up 4-8 hours of your day or more. This means that a lot of the other rocks in your life are going to have to get left out of the bucket or made smaller.

MLM Recruiting Tips #5 – Prioritize and Cut Non-Essentials

Do you play video games…WOW, COD, BF4 anyone?

Maybe you never miss an episode of Downton Abbey, Mr. Selfridge, Upstairs Downstairs, and Call the Midwife?

Maybe it’s time to get rid of Netflix and the TV altogether?

Can you think of any other entertainment, leisure, or hobbies that may be unnecessarily occupying your time?

MLM Recruiting Tips #6 – Outsource Low Level Tasks

Most of the time you spend on your business should be spent with IPA…Income Producing Activities. Things like prospecting, inviting, presenting, recruiting, etc.

As a business owner, your time is the most valuable thing you have, so spending a bunch of time on low level tasks is not a good use of your time.

Find ways to outsource low-level tasks both in your business and personal life to make more time for your business. This can be something like hiring someone else to mow your lawn, shovel your driveway, or wash your car.

If you have a blog, you may want to consider hiring someone to do the maintenance on your website. If you produce YouTube videos, you may want to hire someone to write the descriptions for them and transcribe the video closed captioning for you.

Fiverr.com is a great place to find people to do a lot of these low-level tasks.

MLM Recruiting Tips #7 – Effective Time Management

And then there are things that you could be doing more efficiently.

If you commute to a job and have somewhat flexible hours, try going into work at times that allow you to avoid rush-hour traffic.

Set aside a specific 30 minute period every day to take care of personal emails.

Cook all of your meals for the week on the weekend and put them in the fridge.

You may want to make an arrangement with a friend to take turns picking up each other’s kids from the after-school activities.

Try to find creative ways to save time. A lot of small changes can add up to a lot of time at the end of the week.

MLM Recruiting Tips #8 – Whatever You Do, Don’t…

What you don’t want to do is try to multitask when you’re working on your Network Marketing business. It is scientifically proven that multitasking makes you LESS productive, it lowers your IQ, and it makes you less effective at tasks even when you aren’t multitasking.

Make sure you clear your schedule of all distractions so that you are able to focus on one task at a time.

Don’t answer the phone. Let your voicemail do its job.

Turn off the TV and radio.

Focus on one thing at a time and you will be more effective at everything you do.
