You can’t convince anyone to buy your products or join your opportunity. Most people you talk to are going to say no and there is nothing you can do or say to change their minds.
Not only that, but there’s nothing that anyone could do or say to change their minds. One of the realities of MLM recruiting is that some people are open to a good opportunity, but most people aren’t.
There is no magical script that will make everyone say yes. There is no miracle product that will “sell itself” and everyone will want to buy.
So that’s the bad news about MLM recruiting.
Now here’s the good news – and this is going to require a change in the way you think about and approach this business…
The good news is that being successful in Network Marketing doesn’t depend on being able to convince people to buy or join. Your job isn’t to try to convince people to join when they don’t want to…
The secret to MLM recruiting is to FIND the people who are ready to join and present your opportunity to them.
This means that you will have to talk to a LOT of people. You may have to talk to 10 or 20 people just to find one person to sign up. That’s why it’s so important to develop skills that will help you meet new people both online and offline. Lead generation is probably the most important skill for a Network Marketer to have.
This is why they say “Amateurs convince, professionals sort”. In other words, amateurs in this business will spend a lot of time trying to convince a few people to join. Professionals, on the other hand, will present to as many people as possible (hundreds or even thousands of people) and spend most of their time with the few who are ready and willing to join.
MLM Recruiting – What NOT to do…
Now, this does not mean that you should just spam social media with your opportunity to reach as many people as possible. Network Marketing is still a “relationship” business. People buy and sign up with people they like, know, and trust.
It doesn’t matter how “ground level” your opportunity is, it doesn’t matter how great your products are, and it doesn’t matter how great your compensation plan is or how awesome your upline is.
If they don’t know, like, and trust you, it doesn’t matter. No one will join. That’s why just spamming your opportunity to the whole world never works.
