You know the feeling…you see all these people walking up on stage at your company’s events. They’re smiling, they’re happy, they introduce themselves and tell you they’ve only been with the company for a month and they signed up the first 50 people they talked to. They’re at a triple gold star rank and made $1500 in their first week and $5000 in their first month. They’re well on their way to the top ranks.

And then another couple walks on stage. Same story. And another, and another…

And then there’s you. You’ve been with your company for a year or two. You’ve never been on stage. The first 100 people you talked to all said no. You’re working hard, but not getting anywhere. You’ve basically just been spinning your wheels the whole time.

You know you have what it takes to be on stage, but for some reason, you can’t even get past the starting line. What do they have that you don’t? They aren’t exactly any smarter than you. What did they figure out that you haven’t?

Well, I know the feeling too. I used to get an uneasy, restless feeling in my gut listening to everyone else’s success stories, knowing that it should be me up there telling everyone that I had made it. All it did was make me want to immediately leave the event and get back to work. But, of course, we would stay and pretend to be happy and pretend to have a good time…but secretly, inside, I was thinking “what the heck? This isn’t right. I should be up there.” And it just eats you up inside.

So here’s what we’re going to do in this MLM success tips blog post. I want you to make the decision that you will be up on that stage. You know you have what it takes. The very fact that you are right here, right now reading this article tells me that you are willing to learn and do whatever it takes to get there, and following these MLM success tips will help you do that.

Now, think about this…the word “decide” comes from a Latin term that means “to cut off or to kill”…as in to eliminate all other options. So make a real decision to succeed, because this isn’t a game of chance. Success in this business doesn’t happen by accident. You need to have the mentality that you will either find a way, or you will make a way.

Now, with that in mind, here are the 3 MLM success tips you need to follow to get yourself up on that stage:

MLM Success Tips #1 – Commitment to One Strategy

Figure out HOW you want to grow your business…find ONE lead generation/recruiting strategy that suits you and commit to it. Whether it’s recruiting people at the mall and grocery store, recruiting professionals, using purchased leads, recruiting through social media, recruiting through paid ads on the internet, whatever…pick one to focus on and stick with it.

MLM Success Tips #2 – Consistency

Once you find a strategy to commit to, be consistent with it. If you treat this like a hobby, it will COST you like a hobby. But if you treat it like a business, it will PAY like a business. So don’t just do this for only 1-3 days a week.

Commit to this and be consistent with it for at least 2-3 hours a day for 5-6 days a week. That is what a 6-figure commitment looks like.

Here’s what Leah Rae and I were able to accomplish in the first 12 months with our business before we committed to a strategy and were consistent with it for 5-6 days a week: Nothing.

Once we committed to a strategy and were consistent with it for 5-6 days a week, here’s what happened in just the first 3 weeks:

Week 1 = lots of work and no results

Week 2 = We started bringing in 2-3 leads per day

Week 3 = By the end of the week, we were bringing in 30+ leads per day

MLM Success Tips #3 – Mental Toughness

Getting 30+ leads per day after only 3 weeks isn’t going to happen for most people. Leah Rae and I were able to do that with professional coaching, a lot of testing things that didn’t work (and spending $500+ in the process), and then finally having a breakthrough at the end of our 3rd week.

Depending on the lead generation strategy that you’re using, it may take you 6 months to get to a point where you are consistently bringing in dozens of leads per day. But even for Leah Rae and I, having spent $500+ on marketing ideas that didn’t pan out was stressful and frustrating. It was very tempting to just come to the conclusion that we weren’t going to be able to make things work and switch strategies.

Thankfully, we stuck with it. Our breakthrough happened one evening in the middle of our 3rd week. We turned on an ad just before we ran out the door for a family dinner. By the time we got back home, we had 10 leads sitting in our email inbox. By the end of the day, the list had grown to almost 20. It was at that point that we knew we figured out something that was going to work well, so we scaled it up and the leads just started pouring in.

Now, we were very tempted to switch things up after just 2 weeks. If we had, we probably wouldn’t be where we are today. You need to have the mental toughness to keep going even when you’re tempted to quit. You need to be willing to move forward when others would lose faith and turn back.
