There’s all sorts of reasons why people avoid their family and friends, but that is just about the only way you’re going to make money immediately with your Network Marketing business.
Network Marketing Tips – Going After Your Cold Market
Now, can you go after your cold market? Yeah, absolutely. But there’s very little chance you’re going to make money NOW by doing that.
And here’s why…
People don’t join companies, people join people…specifically, they join people that they know, like, and trust.
Your cold market DOESN’T automatically know, like, or trust you.
So in order to recruit your cold market, not only do you have to learn prospecting and lead generation, but you ALSO have to learn relationship skills…how to build trust and rapport in a relatively short amount of time.
Because without that, you will never get a sale or sign-up from your cold market.
That’s why blasting your product information and opportunity video all over Facebook NEVER works. There’s no trust or rapport being built when you do that, and people need to feel like they know, like, and trust you BEFORE they get pitched.

You warm market, on the other hand, doesn’t have those hurdles to overcome. They already know you, and they like and trust you – at least to some extent 🙂 , and you already have their contact information.
They key to approaching your family and friends is to just NOT act desperate. And that is sometimes difficult to do when you feel like you NEED to make money NOW…but you seriously shouldn’t care if they sign up or not.
Now, why do I say that?
It’s because the top earners in this industry presented their opportunity to several hundreds, even thousands, of people to get where they are…which means that the BIG money is made NOT just with your family and friends, but rather, with people you’ve never even met yet – your cold market.
So either way, whether your family and friends join or not, you’re going to have to find some way of recruiting your cold market IF you want to be a top earner. So in the end, it really DOESN’T matter if they join or not.
Network Marketing Tips #2 – Get Referrals From Your Warm Market
The second Network Marketing tips for making money NOW with your business is to always ask for referrals from your warm market.
If someone says no to your opportunity, that’s fine. Take the no. Don’t try to change their minds. There is NOTHING you can say or do to make someone want to join when they have already made up their minds that they don’t want to join.
All you’re going to do by continuing to try to convince and pitch and sell them is damage your relationship with them and destroy any chance of them joining you in the future.
So the best thing you can do when someone says no is just say, “Alright, that’s cool. Obviously, this isn’t a fit for you, but who do you know that wants to make some money right now?”

Another way you can phrase that question is to focus on the product or service rather than the opportunity. For example, you could say…
“Who do you know that wants to lose some weight?”
“Who do you know that would love to save money on their vacations?”
“Who do you know that is passionate about organic food?”
There’s all sorts of ways that you can ask the question, but the most important thing is that you ALWAYS ask!
Network Marketing Tips #3 – You Need BIG Numbers
The third Network Marketing tips for fast results is that you need to put up BIG numbers. You can’t expect to get 2, who get 2, who get 2. It sounds great in theory, but it NEVER works that way.
One of the things that makes Network Marketing so difficult to succeed in is that your success is dependent upon other people’s production. And the sad truth is that most people who join Network Marketing just aren’t very productive…
They’re afraid to pick up the phone, they’re afraid to present to their friends and family, and they’re always finding an excuse to put it off until later.
And while you can give those people some encouragement, the worst thing you can do is stop what you’re doing to try and pull them along.
You can’t want it for them MORE than they want it for themselves.
