Network Marketing Training Tips – How To Rank Up If You Haven’t Had Success Yet
Leah Rae and I struggled for almost 2 years in our Network Marketing business before we started to achieve any real success. And it wasn’t just 2 years of ho-humming around. It was 2 years of dumping $20,000 into our business and spending 40+ hours a week trying to figure out how to succeed.
We were going through all of the Network Marketing training we could find…blogs, YouTube, paid Network Marketing training courses…
And in the end, after all of that work and all of the Network Marketing training you can throw a stick at, we learned that success in this industry only requires that you do 2 things REALLY well.
And it doesn’t matter HOW you do these 2 things, as long as you’re doing them BOTH…
Network Marketing Training Tips – 2 Keys To Advancing Rank
A lot of people think that getting a bunch of sales and sign-ups depends on having the right prospecting and closing script that magically makes people want to buy and join…that if you somehow just say the right words, people would instantly change their minds and want to buy.
But ultimately, there are really only 2 things you need to do to advance rank and hit the top of your compensation plan in your Network Marketing company…and no, it’s not some magic script.
The first thing you need to do is get good at building relationships.
Network Marketing has been, is, and always will be a relationship business, and people don’t join companies, people join people. Specifically, people ONLY join those that they know, like, and trust. So you need to go through specific Network Marketing training to learn how to build trust and rapport with your prospects.
Sometimes this takes weeks or even months to build enough trust and rapport with someone before they will be open to hearing about your opportunity. Other times, you can do it in 2 minutes.
The second thing you need to do is simply put up big numbers. They say that Network Marketing is a numbers game, and it’s very true. You need to present your opportunity to hundreds of people, if not a thousand or more, in order to hit the top ranks in your company.
So the other type of Network Marketing training you will need is lead generation and prospecting training.
But in the end, that’s all you really need to succeed…relationships and numbers.
Network Marketing Training Tips – Which Is More Important?
You definitely need to focus on BOTH the relationship aspect as well as the numbers game to get to the top ranks in your company, so don’t think that you can simply devote more Network Marketing training to one and neglect the other…
But that being said…
Being able to build trust and rapport with people is more important that simply putting up big numbers.
And here’s why…
You will get a least a few sales and sign-ups from your family and friends if the relationship is good enough. In other words, you can have some level of success, even though you’re working with small numbers…as long as you’ve got good rapport with people.
But on the other hand, it doesn’t matter how many people see your presentation, you will never get a sale or a sign up if people don’t feel like they know, like, and trust you. It doesn’t matter if you put your opportunity in front of a million people; no one buys from or signs-up with someone they don’t know, like, and trust…period!
BIG Numbers Without Trust And Rapport = BIG Problem
This is probably the most common mistake I see with people who are taking big action in their business. They’re all excited to go on a big recruiting run, they’re “going for no” and prospecting tons of people every day, getting 20 “no’s” or even 50 or 100 “no’s” a day…
…but they don’t get a single sale or sign-up.
When that happens – when you’re getting a ton of exposures and putting 100 people a day in front of your presentation – and you don’t get a single sale or sign-up from it, then the problem is almost 100% that you don’t have enough trust and rapport built up before you pitched them your deal.
Assuming that you’re doing everything else right – using the right scripts, scheduling a follow up, etc. – if you’re present your opportunity to 100 people and not a single one joins, then the problem is simply that there isn’t enough trust and rapport built up for them to say “yes”.
The Leveraged Way vs The UN leveraged Way
So there’s a ton of great Network Marketing training courses that will teach you how to build relationships and prospect people and generate leads, etc.
Some will teach you a very leveraged way to generate trust and rapport with a large number of people at the same time…others will teach you how to generate trust and rapport with people one at a time, which is still effective, but also very time-consuming.
Obviously, the Network Marketing training that is more leveraged has the potential to give you much bigger results, so if you’re like me and you like as much leverage in your business as possible, then that’s the Network Marketing training that you want.
